About us
With over 70,000 employees and a rich mix of products, services and expertise, Capita are the nation’s leading provider of outsourcing and support service solutions.
We’re proud to have been awarded a managed service contract by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for the provision of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Assessment Service
PIP replaces Disability Living Allowance for working age customers from 16-64. We’re excited to be tasked with delivering the assessment service for all PIP claims.
About the role
With the introduction of the new legislation, it’s a great time to join us and our expanding team. Your rewarding and essential role entails compiling reports that help benefits claimants through the often daunting benefits process.
This will see you meeting claimants at their home or in one of our consultation centres to discuss their claim and health situation, looking at how their disabilities or impairments have an impact on their day to day lives. You’ll need to dissect and analyse complex information such as questionnaires completed by the customer as well as information from GPs and other health professionals.
Once you’ve gathered all the information you need, you’ll put together a structured, evidence-based report including recommendations as to when the customer’s circumstances should be reviewed.
About you
You may be looking for a new and stimulating role or perhaps to expand your career and skills.
We’ll start you off with an intensive 5-week training course that will fully prepare and motivate you for the role. What you’ll need to be is a positive, professional and friendly people person, as happy to work in a team as you are on your own.
You’ll be no stranger to working under pressure and have a flexible approach. You’ll also need post registration experience with an active, clean licence to practice, along with evidence of your UK registered licence to practice with the NMC/HCPC. A full, clean driving license and access to a vehicle along with excellent computer skills are also a necessity.
