People across Sussex, Surrey and Kent hold South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Trust (SECAmb) in high esteem and are positive about the Trust's performance, according to the results of a region-wide patient and public satisfaction survey.
More than 1,000 patients and members of the public were asked for their views on SECAmb's services and what improvements could be made in the independent poll carried out by Ipsos MORI.
The results showed that:
*Almost two-thirds of people are satisfied with SECAmb's performance, with more than one-third saying they are very satisfied;
* Patients see the service as being effective and praise staff for their attitude, knowledge and experience;
* Around two-thirds of people saying the Trust is effective at delivering swift response times, and almost three-quarters believing the Trust has trained helpful staff.
* Almost 95 per cent of respondents say SECAmb staff are friendly and helpful.
Paul Sutton, Chief Executive, said, "We are delighted to discover that SECAmb is held in such high esteem by the communities we serve - but we take note of the areas where improvements need to be made and are not complacent.
"We will use all the findings, both positive and less positive, to help us shape the future of SECAmb so we can continue to improve the service we deliver to local people."
