The East of England Ambulance Service, police, fire and nurses from the local hospital made a special visit to the St Thomas RC Primary school in Letchworth during March.
The school were holding their 'People who help Us' week, which gave the children a chance to meet and talk to the emergency crews who help people in their time of need when someone dials 999. Communications manager Gary Sanderson who attended the event said: "The children were very keen to see inside the ambulance and they were intrigued to see where all the equipment was kept. But the highlight of the day was to hear the sirens and see the flashing lights in the playground."
At the end of school time, the children received an ambulance colouring book, crayons and bookmark which was very much appreciated
