Paul, Rod and Daren.
Three Hertfordshire based paramedics have recently completed a gruelling 50 mile run to raise money for the Keech Cottage Hospice in Luton.
Daren Branch began the run at Tower Bridge alongside Rod Taylor, who supported him on his mountain bike and headed for the finishing line at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The pre planned route took Daren and Rod through the streets of London and past the River Thames, the Olympic Stadium then they headed north alongside the M25 into Hertfordshire.
On reaching Welwyn Garden City, Daren and Rod were joined by their colleague Paul Fletcher, who ran the last 15 miles with them. They finally reached the finishing line at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage after 9 hours 43 minutes. Daren said: "The reason for the run was I wanted to do something slightly different for my 50th birthday and to raise as much money as possible for the Keech Cottage hospice for children. I would like to thank Rod for his support and planning of the run and to Fletch for taking part even thou he is still carrying a slight injury."
Daren said It was the hardest run I he has ever took part in! The monies already raised so far is £500.
