Darcey thanks paramedics

A schoolgirl whose sledging trip ended in hospital has publicly thanked the Trust and air ambulance crews who came to her rescue.
While the snow during December and January brought fun for many children, for 10-year-old Darcey Street it spelt disaster. Darcey, from Hethersett, near Norwich, had to have a dozen stitches in her head after she crashed into a fallen down oak tree while sledging on Mousehold Heath in Norwich. But within minutes EEAST paramedic Carl Stevenson arrived in a critical care rapid response vehicle to treat Darcey while the East Anglian Air Ambulance was scrambled.
The youngster was then stabilised before being flown to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Her mum Ioanna Street, 41, was so impressed by the efforts of all those involved she approached the Norwich Evening News so she could thank them in public. She told the paper: "While I was keeping her calm, the paramedics came - they came within a minute and a half, they were so quick. "The paramedics and the air ambulance staff were brilliant. I really would like to thank everyone who helped. Darcey is well on the way to a full recovery and wants to thank all those who sent her cards and presents."
