Call handler gets gold award

A Chelmsford call handler has been recognised for the work she does with a gold award.
Caroline Hutton has worked for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust for almost two years and had her award presented by Associate Director Paul Leaman.
Calls that come into the region’s HEOCs are stringently audited, and Caroline is part of a select few to win awards for compliance in the calls they take.
The categories are given depending on the number of calls answered with 100% compliance – with bronze at 25, silver at 50 and gold at 100 calls.
Caroline said: “It’s lovely to get this award and it tells me that I’m doing my job well, giving people the right information and coding calls correctly which matters a lot.
“I like the variety that being a call handler brings, you just never know what’s going to happen.”
