SP Services have been shortlisted as finalists for Business of the Year!

The Shropshire Star has revealed the finalists in the annual Excellence in Business Awards who will be fighting it out for the eight gongs on offer at this year’s black-tie awards ceremony, which takes place at RAF Cosford on 23rd April 2015. The blue ribaned ‘Company Of The Year Award’ will be contested by Telford’s international first aid and medical supplies provider SP Services, construction outfit Hawk Group manufacturer Quartix and e-know.Judging is set to take place in the next month at all finalist companies ahead of the awards ceremony in April.

The top gong on Business of the Year which SP Services is finalist in is fantastic news for the company, which began life some 26 years ago by founder and Managing Director Steve Bray. Over the years Steve has built a team, product range and service well known and respected within the industry not only regionally and nationally but also internationally, helping put SP, Telford and the UK firmly on the world map as a leader in medical equipment development and innovation.
2014 was an incredible year for the team at SP with growth in export contracts, huge involvement with Ebola relief efforts across the globe and the milestone celebration of a 25 years in business. 2015 is set to be no exception, with innovative new product ranges, digital developments and continued growth across all aspects of the business, SP is not only growing but are actively expanding their employ of locally based apprentices to ensure long-term economical growth and jobs within the region.
Managing Director Steve Bray said of the news “To be short listed as a finalist in the Business of the Year Category is incredible news. When we selected Telford as our logistics hub and head quarters we did so as Telford is situated in the Heart of England, allowing us to service our customers both nationally and internationally. When we moved to Bastion House in 2012 it was a £2 million investment from SP Services and it was our intention to send as much of the budget as possible with locally based companies and SMEs to help boost the Shropshire economy. We are looking forward to the awards evening and meeting the other finalists, I am truly proud of the whole team here at SP Services, without whom this finalist spot and our year on year growth would not be possible, so well done and thank you team.”
