24 hours in EoE is back – media notice
Monday, 15 August, 2016
Users of the popular social media platform Twitter are invited to take a sneak peek into the life of the region’s ambulance service when it runs its second 24-hour Twitterthon this Friday (19th August). The first ever event of its kind took place last year on 'Black Friday', when the East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST) tweeted live for 24 hours from around the region during one of the busiest days and nights of the year for emergency services due to Christmas parties and nights-out . The aim is to expand on last time by covering more areas of work from across EEAST including non-emergency and support services and giving a glimpse at the pressures faced during the summer. Tweets will start rolling from 7.30am in the Chelmsford Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), and will include the two other EOCs in Bedford and Norwich, as well as out with an A&E crew, the Patient Transport Service, Training, Fleet and a community first responder. You can follow the Twitterthon and support the event at http://www.twitter.com/EastEnglandAmb from 7.30am, or search for tweets using |
The EEAST communications team is running the second of the Trust’s 24-hour Twitterthon – '24 hours in the east of England’ will highlight the amazing work of staff and volunteers and the type and sheer volume of 999 calls the service receives.
We would be grateful if you could run the following content and of course invite you to follow #24HoursInEOE. Any incidents put out during the day can be followed up in the normal way – you’re welcome to tweet a question, but please remember you may receive a delayed reply due to the immersive nature of #24HoursInEOE during busier parts of the day. |
