New Training Venues For London
Three new training venues will be opening their doors in London throughout 2008, offering first aid and health and safety courses to businesses and individuals across the capital.
St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales's) District is increasing its number of training venues in the capital from 12 to 15.
The three new centres are in Chelsea, Walthamstow and Limehouse. Each one is equipped with modern training aids and will provide for the staging of a wide range of both commercial and community-targeted first aid and health and safety courses.
Len Bamber, Chief Executive of St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales's) District, said, "The launch of three new training centres in the city is an important element of our aims. We want all Londoners to have ready access to facilities which allow them to undertake first aid and health and safety training close to their home or their workplace.
"Chelsea, Walthamstow and Limehouse have been specifically selected as the sites of our newest additions because they are part of thriving communities with good transport links to allow people to get to these courses easily.
"In addition to the work based and community based first aid courses we will also be identifying niche needs such as restaurants and child care related courses."
St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales's) District already trains nearly 40,000 Londoners in first aid every year.
